At the Charles-County Animal Care Center:

36070-Meet Arwen

She’s 1 year old, Shepherd mix, and approximately 97% joy with a 3% “what’s next?!” energy boost. She wakes up ready to play, plays while thinking about playing more, and may or may not believe naps are just a rumor people made up for dramatic effect. Her signature look? One ear proudly pointing to the sky like she’s receiving important cosmic updates, and the other doing its own laid-back thing. Together they say: *“I’m happy, I’m here, let’s go do stuff!”* Arwen is a busy girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for adventure, attention, and anything that involves motion. If you’re looking for a sidekick who treats every day like a celebration, she’s already packed and ready to move in. Come meet Arwen and let her turn your everyday into a joyful whirlwind. Meet her during adoption hours, M-F 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm

196230-Chunky Monkey
Don't let the name fool you. Chunky Monkey is more zoomies than chunkies. He turns every cage accessory into a jungle gym and every day into an action movie. He is waiting to meet you at the Charles County Animal Care Center. Adopt him M-F 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

196667-Looking for a kitten that's worth a Triple Word Score?

Meet Scrabble, a 4-month-old kitten with a vocabulary that consists mostly of MEOW, SNACKS, and PLAY NOW! Like any typical kitten, he's busy collecting bonus points by chasing toys, climbing things he probably shouldn't, and squeezing in power naps between zoomie sessions. The best part? **June is Adopt a Cat Month!** ????????Kittens are just $25, or you can score a bonus kitten and adopt two for only $30! Scrabble is ready to spell **F-O-R-E-V-E-R H-O-M-E** with his new family. Don't leave this winning tile on the board! Come meet him during adoption hours, Monday-Friday 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

At St. Mary's Adoption and Resource Center:

Meet this sweet beauty named Blanca! This girl is very nervous when first meeting new people but will quickly adjust given time. Blanca does not appear confident in herself just yet. She depends on her human for comfort and will need a family that will help her become more confident! Due to an incident in her previous adoptive home, we would not recommend Blanca be adopted into a home with other dogs, cats or small animals. She is extremely timid, and young children may frighten her. This girl is looking for someone, preferably with GSD experience, that can build her confidence and provide her with a safe and patient home. Adoption applications can be submitted in person at the St. Mary's County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located at 22975 FDR Blvd California, MD 20619 View all adoptable animals here: https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/animalshelter/Adoptable/

Linda Kelly Animal Shelter:

Welcome to Malie Marie's Big Dog Summer ????☀️

That's right — more dog, less fee. We may take up a little extra space on the couch, but we also bring extra love, extra laughs, and extra tail wags.

And who knows? Maybe one of us is your perfect match. View our website, www.calvertcountyanimalshelter.com/Dogs to view available dogs.
