He thrives on attention and will happily soak up every pet, scratch, and “who’s a good boy?!” you have to offer. Looking for a dog who will be your shadow, your snack supervisor, and your #1 cuddle champion? Alpha is ready to clock in.

At St. Mary's Adoption and Resource Center:
Meet this sweet beauty named Blanca! This girl is very nervous when first meeting new people but will quickly adjust given time. Blanca does not appear confident in herself just yet. She depends on her human for comfort and will need a family that will help her become more confident! Due to an incident in her previous adoptive home, we would not recommend Blanca be adopted into a home with other dogs, cats or small animals. She is extremely timid, and young children may frighten her. This girl is looking for someone, preferably with GSD experience, that can build her confidence and provide her with a safe and patient home. Adoption applications can be submitted in person at the St. Mary's County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located at 22975 FDR Blvd California, MD 20619 View all adoptable animals here: https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/animalshelter/Adoptable/

Meet WERTHER! He’s dog of the week! Just like the candy… Werther is as sweet as can be! This adorable 6 year, 5-month-old, 24-pound Corgi mix is the perfect blend of cute, cozy, and full of charm. With those short legs and sweet face, he’s guaranteed to melt your heart in no time. Werther has been enjoying life in a foster home where he’s truly thriving! His foster family says he’s:
Wonderful in the house
Low key and easygoing
A big fan of chewing on his favorite bones
When it’s time for a walk, Werther gets a little excited, who can blame him?! and may pull a bit on leash, but he’s improving every day. He also likes to give a little bark at passing cars and people—just to make sure they don’t miss how handsome he is! This awesome little guy is ready for his forever home where he can relax, be loved, and continue being the sweet companion he is.
And here’s the cherry on top…
